the website imprinted on bottom of the copy of the old catalog page says these are Hoyts, but  a search of the model numbers brings up nothing.

what are they?    any comments on the reflex designs?

Yup - go to this site ht tp://www.vintagearchery.org/catalogs-by-year.html and open up 1950s Hoyt Catalog no. 6. (There don't seem to be ads, but I put a space in the http just in case.)

I don't remember the ads, but they were THE bow back then and on into the wheelie era.  My buddy was trying to save up to buy a top of the line Hoyt while we were in high school, something like $40 USD!

They certainly could be, as Hoyt was around during the wooden archery era, 1931> That being said I can't remember seeing anything like that from Hoyt in old magazines, or in vintage archery equipment on ebay. Sorry, not much help, but they are cool bows.

the top model's unstrung profile looks like it would make a great shape for a selfbow caul... :)
Seems like common sense isn't very common any more...

 my thought also, Bob.

the bow is a hoyt from the 50's, confirmed from Timbos link

I was thinking that myself - it looks like a pretty good design!
