Decrowned elm selfbow 50# at 27''

Hello!

This is an elm selfbow I made. It's 63'' long and 2'' wide. I decrowned it so I can get a perfectly rectangular cross section. I believed would make a better bow for a short stave like this. Aloso, I wanted to see how elm can handle decrowning. I believe it's my worst decrowning job to date, but fortunately, elm is tough wood! For now, I was shot a hundred time and it's still going strong. Tiller is slightly positive. Hope you like it!

Looks good! I would guess elm would do alright with a crowned back as long as it was shallow enough to get the desired width.
