Backwoods University - Flintlock Basics

(1/1)

BrianS:
Hey Everybody,
Another video for the Backwoods University. It is about the basics of a flintlock and is intended for someone who is just starting out. My Grandson did the filming. It was a fun project for us to do together. Here is the link to the video.
Take care, brian

Digital Caveman:
Nice, I saw the part at the end about cleaning it.  Would you say the gun needs to be cleaned after every shot or two, or just after each shooting session?

BrianS:
To a certain degree it depends on the weather that day. Definitely clean after a shooting session or a hunt regardless of the humidity or how many shots.

Digital Caveman:
Thanks.

I'll probably do percussion before I ever get to flint, but those are also black powder.

BrianS:
Regardless of what method of ignition, keep it clean. Good luck with your muzzleloader journey.
