How do you know when to harvest it? There is a bunch by my work and I want to try to make sumac-aid with it as well as grind some up for seasoning.

Some species of Sumac are poisonous but if you have Staghorn then the best time to use the berries is in the fall when they turn red

Ok thanks Marc, these shouldn't be the poisonous ones, I read those have white berries
