Mahogany arrowhead and a Novaculite necklace
Hawkdancer:
Nice work! Might try making a wire hook and loop for a clasp, hook about 1 1/2 - 2 times the loop, should hold, or make the necklace long enough to slip over the head. Got to sort out time to get back to knapping!

Deerhunter 21,
Point looks good. FWIW I have some arrowheads that I collected in north Africa in the Northern Sahara Desert that are eerily similar to the one you have for the necklace. The ones I gathered from there are all small. Large ones are about the size you have there. They are presumably between 5000 to 10000 years old. At least when the Northern Sahara had Ostriches running around, lots of beads from Ostrich egg shells.

Looking good Russell. I can see you are really getting the hang of it now.

I notched the arrowhead and I’m pretty proud of it!!!
bjrogg:
Very nice Russell. You did that one proud for sure.

PS I have one that is nearly identical. Except I snapped mine in two.
