This is not a real ELB, it has a narrowed handle and a flatter profile. Nothing special, just a quick made stick bow. The stave was marginal quality with lots of knots, one big crack (at handle), changing crown and twists on both outer limbs. This twists caused the asymmetric shape of the nock overlays (wenge). The bows back is the first ring under the bark, so it has more sap than heart wood but I hadnt more wood to play with.
The arrow mark is no paint, it is a inlayed artificial stone, made from red ochre earth pigments mixed with epoxy laid in a file groove.
Im very pleased with the cast of this bow, despite the low quality wood and the set (1½).
