Using a thumb ring

<< < (4/4)

Albert:
Hi, had the same problem for a while when I switched to thumb shooting. I solved it by aiming 'inside the bow' .
I just gap shoot by aiming with my arrow point. I'll try to find a pic online that describes it better. It is properly explained in 'Saracen archery' if I remember correctly. I thnk 'Nu Sensei' has a video about the three aiming metods (outside the bow, through the bow, inside the bow).

Albert:
Also a note on khatra: I get better flight with a slight khatra and somewhat stiff arrows (60 lbs spine) but I still need to aim inside the bow. I have never managed to have proper arrow flight and aiming outside the bow at the same time.
Cheers!

Albert:
Aiming inside the bow vs outside the bow for a right handed archer obviously. Taken from Saracen archery, p.59
