Thanks Eddie. It’s great to be back on the farm.

This new day reminds me of the day I started this thread several years ago.

I remember saying you might ask what a farmer could possibly be doing when it’s zero and the wind is blowing 30 mph.

So glad we have a nice shop to work in.

We’ve been busy with lots of repairs to equipment. We had all the tractors through the shop already also the beet digger and topper.

We have a lot of work to do to the two combines. They are getting like me. Putting on years and showing a little wear.

It’s going to cost a lot of money for parts and we are going to have to do a lot of labor, but I think we can get them closer to like new than I’m gonna get.lol

We need to replace the top “rotor covers” on both combines.

The rotor is where the crop is trashed and as it travels back through it is separated. The cover covers are worn and already have had holes patched in them. They are big, clumsy and have to come out of a miserable place to get to.

We had to take this and a bunch more of just to make a path out for them
