Friction fire???

Is sumac any good for friction fire? Like for the hearth board and Mullen for spindle??

Jake, I have used Sumac for both hearth and spindle. If you have a mullein spindle better yet in my opinion. Mullein is hard to beat for a spindle, not #1 but close, Try your combo an see what happens , experimenting is part of the fun, try it and give us a report. Bob
