Great resource
Allyn T:
My wife got me a book about flintknapping for our anniversary. It's called "old tools-new eyes" by Bob Patten. It is a very in depth book and gives tons of great information including "support" and what that actually means. Indirect percussion is in there as well. It's a great read. There are a bunch of illustrations of actual artifacts in there as well. My wife actually bought from the primitive archer website.
Trapper Rob:
That's a book I always look at then I walk away from it. If Charlie's at the Bald eagle knappin this year I'll have to take another look at it.
Allyn T:
I've really enjoyed reading it. It explains a lot of the mistakes I've made and why. Also gives good info on why artifacts were made a certain way.

Thanks Allyn.

I’m glad you found it so helpful Allyn.
Your wife must have either had some inside information or be a lot better at picking out stuff than mine.lol
When we first got married she always asked what I wanted for Christmas or my birthday. I always told her tools. A man can never have to many tools. Then I got the cheapest most useless tools I ever saw.lol
Now I don’t get anything but at least I don’t have to act happy and surprised.lol

PS not sure if it’s the book or experience, but I can see lots of improvement
