Yew - Longbow - 66" ntn - 53# @ 28" - "Infinite"

Hi Bowmakers
I made this bow from a super straight yew shoot. It was around 2 1/2" in diameter and probably one of the best pieces of yew I've worked; rings towards the outer side are so tight,....you can't even count them under the loupe - thats why I named it Infinite. It really was a pleasure to work, also because the first ring under the bark could be used as the back. It took almost no set and I didn't make any heat corrections on the profile.
what you also see is my new bowyers mark - its handmade by a famous local craftsman - I lately showed him my bows and asked him weather he could make some tiny traditional motivs for my bows - he agreed - I'm super happy!
I love you yew ;D
Cheers and thanx everybody for posting their nice bows!

love it... thanks for sharing. So many of us use heat to adjust and change things that it is nice to see a more "natural" bow.

Beautiful bow Simon! The sapwood/heartwood contact on these yew bows is really stunning. I love the tip overlays and the bend on this one. I’m curious about that knot on the side of the upper limb. Any concern about that causing problems?
