tree id book

anybody have any recommendations for a north American tree id field manual,not interested in the tree app for a smart phone,thanks mule

Audubon Field Guide for Eastern or for Western trees. Take your pick. These books show leaves, bark, flowers and the overall shape of the tree with good descriptions.

Auburn university has a free native tree identifying guide the publish online that's good:

Also a free app for your iPhone called SEEK by iNaturalist. Works for plants, animals and insects. Just point and it gives you the name.
