Hurricane Ian

(1/5) > >>

Pat B:
I hope all of our friends in south Florida got to high ground or safe locations before this monster hurricane hit. I've been watching special reports on the storm and it looks very bad. This is the 5th strongest hurricane ever to hit the US. It made land fall as a Cat 4 hurricane at 155mph but that is only 2mph less than a Cat 5, the highest level.

Pappy:
Yep looks bad, hope my friends stay safe in Fl.

BowEd:
That's a nightmare of a storm.Hope people heed and stay safe.

I talked to Bonepile and Steve Parnell before power was lost. Roger and Steve was Okay at the time. Both live about twenty miles north and south of where it came ashore. So I know they took a pounding. Steve's wife was watching the house while Steve was with his mother and She said a tornado just missed the house. It made a direct hit in my home town and most are without power and some of my friends have gotten up to 18" of rain so far. I haven't heard from my kids yet this morning, either. Looks like it's headed straight for me when it gets to SC.

Pat B:
I knew Steve and Roger were down there but not sure where. Looks like Ian is heading for Charleston by noon Friday. We are expecting heavy rain here Saturday. I hope your family are all OK Eddie and Steve and Roger are OK too.
