Pat B:
Very nice bag, Ed. Working with hair on hides adds a different dimension to leather work and you handle it well.  :OK

Piddler:
Very Nice ED. lots of work went into that people don't realize.

I need to get a stronger pair of reading glasses to do these smaller beaded projects. It'll help make my stitches more exact.
Not totally satisfied with this work but I'll let it slide.

BowEd:
A number of things need to be for good artistic beadwork.Consistency in the size of beads used is the main thing.Czech beads are usually pretty consistent.
In some projects tapered in their design the variance in size actually helps to adjust for good looking work.
Color is another thing. When buying beads buying more than enough to do a project,as sometimes the dye lot between batches of beads may be a little different.
Buying them on hanks is best which assures that all the holes are open for the needle.
My range of using beads size wise is #11 seed beads to #8 pony trade beads.Higher the number the smaller the bead.Occasionally I'll use larger crowbeads also but mostly on leather lace.
I've read the reason why they called them #8 pony trade beads is because they were hauled and packed on ponys to trade with the Indians.
