My son killed a 7 pt buck with the bow this past Saturday morning out of a ground blind. The bow only shoots 135 fps with his set up. He got 13 inches of penetration. Deer ran 60 yds. and folded. 11 yd shot. Made me proud. Good luck hunting.

Brad, 400 gr. arrow. Bow pulls 25 inches. It has a 10 strand B55 string. He shoots out to 15 yds with good accuracy with it. I originally made the bow for my 15 year old grand son. I have quite a collection of horse bows. Many of which draw smoother, and shoot much harder. Among them are sinew backed black locust, sinew backed Osage, sinew backed elm, sinew backed hickory. Most of them in the 45 lb range at 25 to 26 inch draw. At the end of the year I will gift all of them to my son, and 2 grand sons. Thanks for your replies, and good building ,and hunting.
