Started a bow finally after 4 year lay off

Badger:
I was cleaning out my she yesterday and I noticed a stave in the corner I had forgotten about. I had planned on splitting into billets and splicing it as it was only 52" long. I kept glancing over at it and next thing I know I had in my hands. I started off I was just going to clean it up and see how it looked. I ended up spending the rest of the day on it. I decided on a 52" recurve 4" backset with a stiff handle, no deflex. Going for 50# @ 24". I need to let it sit for a couple of days because of the steaming. I will attach a pic when I take the clamps off of the nock overlays.

PEARL DRUMS:
Our stories are similar, Steve. My lay off was closer to 3 years. Its started with a pair of bumpy yew billets staring at me as I fletch some carbon arrows for an ILF bow I shoot a lot. Next thing I know I'm in the basement going through moving boxes trying to find the few tools I needed to build a bow.

Enjoy your build.

Badger:
    Likewise, you enjoy yours!

Badger:
Ready to start telling

Selfbowman:
That looks like a flight bow to me! So 22-1/2 inch arrow. See ya in September Steve. Glad to see ya back at it. Arvin
