Del's mkii H Bow Update

<< < (2/3) > >>

Del the cat:
I'm drawing it a bit further and have reduced the distance from bow to grip:-
Got it to 285 yards (light tail wind)... I've still got a couple of inches to draw yet. The flipper release is a bit tricky, so I'm looking to make a mechanical release aid.
I'd neglected to tie a nocking point so it was still a bit hit and miss, plenty of tweaking and tuning to do, but the tiller is looking good.
The brass weight helps stabilize it substantially.
I've added a pendulum angle indicator :)
I've got some more technological additions and innovations in the pipline too.

Does that fall under the primitive category?

From the sounds of it, this mad dog Englishman is not getting hung up on categories or definitions. This is about the purity of research. Or something like that, he was slurring his speech by that point and I wanted to get my order in since the barkeep cried "LAST CALL".

bjrogg:
That is pretty cool Del. Thanks for sharing and experimenting.

I love how you are always thinking and tinkering.

Del the cat:
I've heat treated the belly and made a mechanical release aid... I got 316 yards with it.
I also made a spoof radar unit and posted pictures with it fitted for April 1st :)
