Some of you may remember that I got permission to hunt and cut some Osage on a 40 acre property last fall. Well no success on the deer hunting, but did make it down in February and cut a few Osage trees.
As a thank you, I made a small bow for their 6 year old son. I have not gifted it to him yet as I need arrows still, but thought I would share with you. 45” TtT, 15#@15”. I pulled it on my tillering tree to 22#@20” to test for durability. Seemed to handle it fine.

Cool!

Yup I’ll second that. Cool

I love making kids bows. I often reduce my adult size bows by splitting off side or belly. Often they are enough wood for a kids bow.

I’m working on one from a side split off my finger tiller bow now. Got it pretty close now. Need to let it reacclimatize for a few days after heat corrections.

Looks great I hope the kid can set down the iPad and enjoy a real sport. Nice gesture.
