So it begins, the Tn. bear pistol
Eric Krewson:
I finally felt like gun building again; the first order of business was to finish fitting the breechplug into my pistol barrel, mission accomplished.
I decided to be diferent and add a lollypop tang to my pistol, these are common to Tennessee rifles but not pistols. Now I have to inlet the tang into the stock.
I am going to have to make a trigger guard, there are no steel Tennessee type pistol trigger guards for sale at any of the online suppliers.
While I was at it I decided to change out the very slender, almost invisible front sight on my squirrel rifle to a thicker one that my old eyes could see better. I have the new sight fitted to the dovetail and have applied some acid on it to get it to rust brown like the barrel.
JW_Halverson:
Nice to see you back on the project! Ed Rayle sure made some nice barrels, and no doubt about it.
