Yeah, I’m not an e-mag fan either.  I haven’t been soliciting BOM entries because I don’t feel right compelling people to be subscribers to enter, not knowing if or when the next issue will appear.  Interest has definitely dropped.  I’ve only had one entry submitted in each category since April.

Sad story.
I'd suggest to open BOM for non subscribers - that might bring back a few bowmakers into it.
cheers
Nailed it.
BOM provides material for the magazine and an incentive to post your work.
Closing it to non subscribers was a HUGE mistake... cutting off a source of content and alienating members.

Very much agree with this idea.

Very much agree with this idea.

Years back they closed this forum off to nonsubscibers. They saw how that all worked out.

Side note: anyone else notice that the traffic on here has dropped off?

The gang has all left and wont be coming back. Boredom at work is why you see me post a bit still. Look at the forum history starting around 2010-2012 up until now. You will clearly see when they stopped sending winners their hats, stopped paying writers, locked up BOM to subscriber's and went to the "emag" and added more guns than bows to an archery magazine. A series of horrible business decisions that NO excuses will cover.

I wanted to help my son write an article about his flight shoot trip at the salt flats, but a big part of that was going to be him having physical magazines he could hold and show people, along with being able to go to a book store to pick one up and seeing something he accomplished on the shelves. Without a physical magazine, none of that incentive is there, and I'm very saddened by that.
