Sounds of density. What does your wood sound like???

Hey gang.  Funny little post here.  What does your bow stave sound like?  Now I know that this is t scientific or anything but I believe it’s an indicator of density.  The Osage is super dense and sounds like a bell!  Here’s some short video clips of yew, Osage and hickory.  I could have posted some others but I think you bet the idea.  Crank the volume.

you should try cutting your staves in half and see how they sound  (lol)

for DIY, I wonder what could be done with small wood samples of a consistent length, width and thickness,  something like a xylophone key but all the same length.
