Novices bow trade anyone???

I do not want to tread on the toes of the forum bow trade, but, I often see people say they don’t feel skilled enough to enter yet.  Equally I want to try and find ways to encourage newbies and novices.  Trades and swaps are one of the best parts of this hobby, in my opinion.  I am happy to act as administrator, would there any takers for a novice trade? I would be happy for all comers to join, newbie, novice, intermediate and experienced, you just need to accept you may well end up with someone’s first working bow and it may not be exactly to your draw weight.  My only real requirement is the bow must be a shooter.  I reckon it’d be good to wrap it up before the main trade starts, so maybe a June 1st deadline?? Kidder, I would really welcome your thoughts .

So what do you all think good idea or no, no, no?

I’ve noticed that was well - lots of people saying “I’ll be comfortable by next year.” I recommend considering a requirement of at least one successful bow build before though. But ultimately that’s your call. Regardless, have fun!

Location is a factor, with international shipping being problematic.

Location can complicate things.  Careful labelling can help - a carved over mantle decoration or sports equipment has more chance than a hunting bow.  Canada -US border has caused problems in the past .  Oddly take downs are more likely to have issues possibly because of the metal in the joiner triggering bomb detectors.  Sending the string separately passifies  some couriers as the bow cannot be used as a weapon if it has no string.
