Hackberry Cherokee Style Bow

(1/3) > >>

SA:
I haven't been on here in a long while, took a hiatus from bow making but I'm getting the bug again so plans are to get all those bows I started years ago finished up.
This one is from some hackberry I cut probably 8 - 10 yrs ago. I had half a log with some bug damage so I cut a couple of quarter sawn boards from it.
Specs are;
40lbs @ 28" (although my draw is 26ish)
59 1/2" NTN (60 1/2" overall)
Slightly bends at the handle.
finished off with 4 coats of tru oil and a leather wrap handle.
Its a good little shooter and I'm happy with the way it turned out seeing how rusty my tiller skills are.
thanks for looking.

SA:
couple more pics.

SLIMBOB:
Nice bow sir. Glad your back on the bicycle.

superdav95:
I like the bend on that bow.  Glad your back!

M2A:
Real nice tiller on that stick! Good way to make use of that log.
Mike
