Rawhide-Backed Osage Recurve
Will B:
It’s been awhile since I posted a bow on here. I’ve had difficulty posting photos the way I used to. This is a trial to see if my photos show up. I recently finished a 67” Osage recurve. The stave had very thin rings so I chased the best one and backed it with rawhide. I stained the rawhide with Fiebings dark brown leather dye. The bow is 50# @ 28” and was made as a gift for a young man who plans to hunt with it.
The bow was finished with seven coats of Tru-oil and a finish spray coat of spar urethane. Thanks for looking.
