Sinew-Backed Heartwood Yew Recurve

(1/3) > >>

Will B:
I recently finished a 64” sinew-backed heartwood yew recurve. The bow is 44# @ 26”. I removed the sapwood and applied 2 layers of deer sinew using TB3 glue. I had a pair of bull snake skins that I used to protect the sinew. The bow was finished with 7 coats of Tru-oil and a spar urethane spray to dull the shine. The handle wrap was made from a leather jacket. The bow is very smooth and has no noticeable hand shock.

I received a great deal of assistance on this build from Superdave here on PA. Thanks Dave for your detailed build and for answering my many questions. Much appreciated!https://flic.kr/p/2q1j4t1
