Starting again

Hello guys!

It's been a good few years since I found the forum and posted on it, and it's been some time since I last tried my hand at knapping and I am currently in a place where I can really start expanding on my hobbies and get in to all the things that I want to start doing.

Now the only hurdle I'm stuck on though is finding material, I am now living in the Willamette valley, and I know glass butte is only spitting distance away by car, but would anyone here know if there is a vendor on this side of the cascades where I can get raw obsidian or some other knappable material from? I have looked all over online and I'm just not seeing a store anywhere I can go to.

I'd like to avoid purchasing online because shipping is a nightmare and the wife isn't to keen on me driving almost 9 hours straight for as much rock as my little hybrid can carry.

Any advice is welcome!
