Trying to save one.
Muskyman:
Took this bow and spliced a piece onto the offending limb. It’s coming along pretty good. It was my original trade bow that I jacked up pretty bad by getting in a hurry.
It’s weighing about 40 lbs now and that’s okay. I just wanted to see if I could save it.
First picture is what it was and the others are where it is now

It’s looking much better now. I would call it a save. Nice bend

hey mike the left side limb needs some attention. you will lose some draw weight but can get it to come around. right at the mid limb there it appears to be a start of a hinge. scrape a bit on the inners on the left limb and the outter 2/3 to ease up on that potential hinge. at brace it looks not too bad so it wont take much so go carefully and youll get it. you could perhaps shorten it up as an option???
Muskyman:
I’ll give it a good look Dave. I did edit the picture and hope it’s from that. I’ll run my gizmo over it and see if that shows me anything. The weight of this bow means nothing to me really.
Thanks for the input. The right limb is the one with the splice.
Muskyman:
Took my gizmo to it and got this. First pic with pencil marks. Then worked on those areas and got rid of most of it except the very outer stiff part. Ended up with this at full draw It was perfectly balanced as far as tiller. Shot about 25 arrows through it and it seems to be okay. Ended up about 38 lbs. Last picture is right after unstringing it.
Good eye there Dave.
