Thank you very much, I'm looking forward to processing some of those lengths of alder, just trying to find some time, and the red and gold ash arrows work very nice with the Osage 'Lox' bow I made, I got three more of those mostly finished.
I'm going to run a few alder through a 7/16" dowel cutter jig, 11mm seems the magic number, I ran a 12mm lime shaft through it and it came out pretty close to the ideal spine weight, just had to give it a once over on the shooting board with the block plane and it was pretty much there, the alder will have a little more weight too, so really looking forward to see how they come out.
