Yeah, I'm excited to try sinew backing again.  I have only done one successful sinewed bow, a kid's bow.  The one juniper/sinew bow I did exploded on the tree.  But I have a bunch of nice juniper.  My plan is to get a couple bows roughed out this winter, then sinew them in the spring once it warms up a bit.  I also have a couple of decent maple pieces that I might try sinewing.  Stay tuned...

I used to get pronghorn rawhides from a guy in Colorado for pretty cheap. BEST rawhide out there, thin, strong and consistent thickness.

I would love to get some and try it.  I’ve used kangaroo hide and it’s good too.  I still have a bunch of white tail deer hide left over from last year so I’ll be a while using that up anyway.  I’ve heard good things about the pronghorn stuff too.
