Osage selfbow for 6 year old.

Had a request from my brother to build a bow for his 6 year old grandson, so I dug through my scrap pile and pulled out a side split from an osage stave to see what I could do.
Osage selfbow, 48” ntn, 12#@15”, tillered to 18” for safety ( hopefully).
Arrows are 1/4” dowels cut to 18”

Looks great Brian. I like making bows like this. They are actually quite challenging and good practice for tillering.

Well done

Nice job, I know he will love that. :)

How timely, I want to make one for my 8 year old. He is shooting a solid fiberglass right now but I want to build something a little nicer for him. I have a narrow Osage stave out in the garage I've been packing around for years. Need to dig it out and see what I can come up with.

How wide are the limbs?

Nice work again, Brian!
