Birch Bark Quiver

<< < (3/3)

Sparrow:
Don't sit on it !.... that is a great looking quiver. Frank

Don:
Nice looking quiver.
I just finished one also, it is fun to work with.
I built mine inside out. After I had it finished I was plying around with sanding down the outside bark of a small piece. The outside bark looks real good sanded.
Don

Bowbound:
can you do a instructional based quive on how to remove the bark? I have silve birch near me but can't figure out how to remove the bark.

Thanks

akbowman:
I have a birch bark basket that ive had for probably ten years that was made by a friend that doesnt show any signs of deterioration. Im sure the rigors of hunting will take their toll, but i think it will last a long time. Probably could put some sort of varnish or clear coat on it to give it a little extra protection.
