First try at no horn asiatic - build along

Uploading pics is pretty painful this morning!
As you can see we aren’t quite in line. I am not one for putting in the effort marking things out. I trust my eye and I leave things over sized so I can bring them in to shape and size later. Always best to leave room for error and design change!

I’m hearing a lot of mixed ideas about sinew increasing compression forces and also relieving compression by moving the neutral plane towards the back.
I’m sure it’s not a black and white answer and I suspect it can do both or one or the other depending on its application.
I’m thinking a couple of layers to start and see how I’m feeling
