Ooooo, that Russian olive is some beautiful stuff! Great work getting a shooter out of it. We have a ton of it around here, but I've never found a piece that wasn't twisted up like a cork screw. Some guys use it for carving or turning. I read somewhere that olive was one of the primary bow woods used by ancient middle eastern cultures.
