History has been made! Congratulations Alan Case!

Technologically, the record could be broken in a relatively short period of time because Allen has been fairly open about his journey. I doubt many will have the fortitude to endure lost arrows and broken equipment the way Allen has. It may never be broken. The sacrifice and dedication here are worthy of a movie! I would have Nickolas Cage play Allen.

Pappy:
Wow that is awesome, loved the story also. I get blown away hearing of people taking that kind of shot with a rifle, but with a bow just amazing. Congrats 😊😊Pappy

Yeah, I'd watch that.  It seems unlikely, but hey, if they can make a movie about Eddie the Eagle, why the heck not?

Hello Arvin, You are close-ish!  Hahaha!  I weighed the arrow and it is 120 grains, so a bit on the heavy side.

The design is a relatively mild-ish static take-down recurve. Strung, the length is a little over 40” Nock-to-nock. Unstrung, the tips are reflexed about 1.5”. The bending area is concentrated over a relatively short 4”-5” portion of the bow limb and the outer limb is very stiff. The maximum draw length is about the equivalent of a 24” draw on a “normal” bow, and maximum draw weight close to 300 pounds, although I never quite got it to this point. I was slowly working my way up to full draw, but ran out of time while dealing with my own nerves, mechanical failures, and having to wait out a constant series of thunderstorms.
