Flip'n tips - Opinions

Burnsie:
So, I put a slight flip in the tips of the bow I am currently working on. When I took one of the ends out of the caul I notice there was a small crack that formed right at the apex of the curve.  I have since filled the crack with water thin super glue, and started to lightly work it with a scraper. The crack is getting smaller, I think it might actually go away if I continue to work on it, but don't want to thin that area out too much. Will this be an issue if I can't get all of the crack scraped away?

Fill it with thin super glue and ignore it. Happens all the time to me. I learned to keep them thicker than needed so I can grind away any cracks that open on the belly like that. Also, I learned that boiling the tips which I keep at a dimension on 1 inch wide, .5 inches thick, for 45 minutes allows me to recurve them with very little cracking. Additionally I round my edges so they wont lift a splinter and try to have one solid ring on the belly to aid in a clean bend as well. Lastly I use an old wood saw as a metal strap to clamp over the belly as I bend it to keep any splinters pressed down.

Sleek must have learned that from me.🤠🤠

It's a possibility! Most of my knowledge is inspired by what I leaned here :)

Burnsie:
A saw like this?  Elaborate please.
