Bow Of the Month for October entries
Selfbowman:
No frills, no fancy photo ops just a good shooting selfbow that took very little set . The way they shoot is what important after all!!
Pat B:
Excellent bow, no frills but an excellent bow. That stave has about the best growth rings and ring ratio I've ever seen. With your talent and that "perfect" stave no wonder it came out so well.

My kind of bow Arvin. Simple yet beautiful, and I’m sure it shoots as good as any bow you’ve made. Those growth rings are the best I’ve ever seen. How many ended up in the finished bow?
Selfbowman:
Three and a half. One on the back one in the middle and one on the belly. Then it had the fourth go from fades to past mid limb. The edges of the belly ring appear the whole way along the edge of the fourth ring showing how straight the grain truly is. It was a pleasure to work this stave!! I spent probably ten more hours on this one even though this good a stave requires less work on the heat bench.
bentstick54:
Thanks Arvin. I can only dream of staves like that. But icut my own, so take what I get.
