The glue dries rock hard, and won't lift in areas such as a glued on riser, for a self bow. The exposed area around the dips will often lift with common epoxies.
I had a quick look on Carba Tec NZ, they don't seem to stock it. Maybe you could ask them if they can bring you in some from Australia or order it directly from Aus?
They do have West Systems at Carba Tec NZ. Some swear by it for bows. I have found it good for furniture with static applications, but have had a full length delamination of a bamboo backing. It also didn't stand up to a glued on riser. I don't think is is rigid enough by itself. Maybe there is something available that they sell that you can add to the mix to increase rigidity?
For full length laminations, bamboo backing Titebond 3 does an excellent job. It can work for handle risers providing the area is already around an inch deep or more, and therefore the glueline will be away from the dip transition with where the limb starts to bend. Even so, I prefer the Techniglue for risers.

I'll have a look into that Technique Superglue, they may be able to order it from Aus like you mentioned. Just need a good belly slat material to work from then could try some Deflexed recurves and Perry reflex bows both of which I've heard good things about.
I can order Titebond 3 locally though so that's an easier one to acquire, I'll see about getting some Osage off a Neighbor and trying a bamboo backed Osage bow. I have made Osage selfbows before and their great but a bamboo backed one would be very interesting to try!

I was researching Black Maire, and noticed the timber company Mac Black has rough sawn elm, and elm floorboards. Might be another good source for you, as elm is a fine bow wood.

Oh wow I hadn't even heard of this company before, really appreciate you finding that I'll have to get in touch with them after the Oak bows. Can add Elm to the list of woods available, would be great to make a Holmegaard replica or other designs out of Elm.

are the limbs on this BITH bow symetrical as I cant really tell from the photo ?
