Hackberry backed Ipe English longbow
Threy Cameron:
Beautiful bow man well done! I've never worked with Ipe myself but its a stunning wood, contrasts vey well with the hackberry backing. Tiller is on point too!
Really like that handle braiding too how did you manage that if you don't mind sharing?
Cheers man.
Pappy:

Thats a super cool bow!! Haha very beautiful. I love the contrast between the ice and hackberry. Also that is a lot of power! That could go through an elephant!....maybe haha.
Pat B:
Very nice Kyle. :OK
Hamish:
Classy Longbow. In fact, all 3 bows you have posted recently are great. A combination of quality tillering and attention to detail is inspiring.
I like your adventurous nature using hackberry as a backing. I can't remember hearing of it being used before, but I always suspected it would be a good candidate, as it behaves a lot like elm, strong in tension. If it can handle a 1" wide, 75lbs stress you know it's a good wood for the job.
