Last winter I took a trip and visited a good bowyer friend DVS Hunter. He insisted on giving me a stave . I told him I didn’t have much room. The stave he gave me was a nice stave but a little on the short side.

I actually took a nice belly split from it and decided to make a short but stout, stiff handle Selfbow

It’s a little under 47” n-t-n

I thought about calling it short and stout, but then as I was putting some skins on the back a little nursery rhyme popped in my head.

I’m a little tea pot

Short and stout

Pull me to full draw

And I spit a arrow out
