Osage
bjrogg:
Welcome to PA East Tennessee
I second getting to a primitive meet. I am pretty frugal, but I spend most of my budget at meets. Nice to hold the stuff in your hands and you can save a bunch on shipping.

I third Twin Oaks as well; I haven't been to Twin oaks in a long time, I think this picture of Mike's Osage is about 20 years old. What you see in the first picture was just part of what he had for sale, the second picture is not all the wood he had for sale at the Classic but most of it except for a huge pile of billets. At the time he had staves from $10 to $100 depending on the quality. He has since moved on from selling staves.
Osage heaven for sure.
Pappy:
Wow, I remember that Eric,ya Mike figured out he could make more making rough built tables and such and sell them to the rich folks building cabins in the Smokys. Plus his dad passed away, but have several that has taken his place. Pappy
