2026 Junior Now Trade specifics and invitation
« on: February 08, 2026, 12:37:43 pm »
Please can an admin sticky this ?  I will post a separate sign up and trade thread.

The junior Bow Trade is not set up to replace the PA Bow trade but as a stepping stone for builders who might like to join in but feel they don't have confidence in their skills yet.

The junior trade welcomes all comers, and has benefitted from amazing experienced builders who have joined in.  If you can support new builders and are just as happy to receive bow number three from a novice as you are to get bow number 300 from a world champion then you are very welcome here.  If you expect a bow worthy of your ego, go somewhere else.

Participants supply draw length and weight and handedness in the hope that their builder will get as close as they can (ideally within 5lb).  In the past some have issued a challenge but it is up to the builder if they accept the challenge. Timber and style are entirely up to the builder.

This is a laid back learning trade, everyone is expected to build the best bow they can with the skills they posess at the moment, we encourage experienced builders to push themselves, to meet challenges, to try something new/risky - signature bows are great, but then few here have built a finno-ugric bow   >:D >:D >:D   seriously though, everyone works at their own level, we can all build our own bows if we want to, but this is a bow for a friend

We don't have a deadline as such, life and bad timber get in the way, we only ship when all the bows are finished. That way when (not if) something goes pear-shape I can re-jig the trade and everyone still gets a bow and there's no need for anyone to build an emergency bow.

If this sounds like something you want to get involved with,, and why wouldn't you, go to the sign up thread and join in the fun
