simk:
another fine bow Tuomo - your attention to detail and finsh works is stunning. what do you put on as a finish?
I notice you ramp up the bellylam the fades  ;D well done. It looks better imho.

...and yeah, that Loo Bamboo is tempting...bamboo is a very cool material and I always thought it would be just perfect if we wouldn't have to mess with these nodes all the time!
I lately bought a 100 moso strips which now makes me hesitate a bit to buy even more backing-material.....

WhistlingBadger:
Absolutely beautiful work!

Hamish:
Mighty nice work there Tuomo(as always). Immaculate!

I like your trial of this boo, previously unheard of for bowmaking. Pretty expensive stuff for me to get, but if you're near the supplier I can see the attraction. Sounds like an ideal material. I did a little more research and apparently there are a few other species of bamboo, with similar or slightly longer internodes https://bambubatu.com/bamboo-with-the-longest-internodes/ . I have no idea if they match the strength of other types but it looks like there is still plenty of experimenting left to be done by enterprising bowyers. Whether they can be easily sourced is another matter.
