Last Minute Osage
« on: March 30, 2026, 12:42:09 am »
Thought I'd post this one before the end of March.
66" ntn, 52# @ 28" flipped tips.  I finished up a couple weeks back, but just got a chance to take pics.

Looks great at bracelet and full draw. Tiller looks spot on to me. What did you use for the tip overlays? How about a photo of the back profile?

Brian - The tips are made of G10 material - I get it from a knife making supply company. I need to buff them, they have gotten scuffed up.
A pic of the back profile as well.  This is sort of a sister bow to a bow I made last summer. Same black accents and flipped tips, but this one is a bit longer and about 4 pounds heavier.

Nice bend Burnsie. Way to take out March. Not a lamb, not a lion. Just another good Osage bow. :OK

Burnsie, sorry to inform you but G10 is fiberglass, and that technically disqualifies your bow on this site...just kidding. G10 and also micarta are good choices for things like tip overlays. Very strong, with the bonus of not being edible for beasties like carpet beetles.

Oh, by the way, love your classic osage bow.
