I work hard on making platforms, but sometimes I still wind up with mass that I just can't seem to get rid of without losing too much width.  But I'm getting better.  I'll have some pic's to post once I get back to the homestead.  DBernier's armguard sheath and knife that PatB gave him inspired me to make a knife blade last night.  I had to quit when it got too dark to see, but on closer examination this morning, I've got a pretty good start.  Now if I just don't break off the point.   :-[

Jesse, I make mine by dripping cold water on a hot rock. Every time I try hot water on cold rocks, I get nasty stepfractures and the flakes won't go past the centerline.  ;D.
