hide glue ?

Knox is just a more purified Hide Glue...it will shrink up as the Sinew Shrinks up...the two work in unison...try it..you'll like it!!!

One of the big differences between good hide glue and gelatin is that gelatin does not have a strength rating or "grade".  Good hide glue will be predictable.  Good hide glue will also enable you to choose the "open" time by choosing a certain grade of hide glue.

If you use Knox then you're rolling the dice.  It could lead to disappointment.  Personally, I don't use it.

I was wanting to use the knox hide glue for gluing fletch wrapping down on arrows and other small projects where I need to glue sinew down.

if you put your hide glue in the fridge it will still dry up,, take a week or two.. ifin ya dont plane on usein it again anytime soon I'd say freeze it.
