Strongbow88:
A couple weeks ago i got a flint knapping kit and here is the first point I made with it. It was my first time working good rock which I think is dacite I love it. and probably my fourth point I've made. The larger flakes were remove using an antler billet. and for pressure i used a copper pointed ishi stick.

cowboy:
Great job for a first or fourth :). That rock does look like dacite but the black point and the white bi-face are obsidian maybe? Welcome to the wonderful world of flintknapping - you'll be outfitting all of your buddies in no time at all ;).

Otoe Bow:
Great looking points.  LIke you I'm pretty new to this and I've gotten to where knapping is my favorite part of primitive archery,  mainly because I can do it just about anywhere.
