Flint Ridge or Kay County knife

(1/3) > >>

DirtyDan:
I can't ever remember where rocks come from, or even their names sometimes, but here is a new knife I recently made.  I knapped the blade at a demonstration I was giving for the JAKES program of our local Wild Turkey Federation.  I used only "bone and stone" to make this one.  I am getting better at it.  Actually, antler does a lot better in pressure flaking than copper sometimes.  I am still not real good at antler billets, preferring hammerstones instead.

DirtyDan:
Sorry about the size of the photo.  Let me try this again.

cowboy:
Dan, you appear to be an artist ;D. Doesn't matter if you used copper or stone/antler, that's a purty knife! Glad your demonstrating and helping out the other folks :).

Hillbilly:
That looks like Nethers Farm Flint Ridge, and that's a helluva nice knife. Good work.

FlintWalker:
Yes, you are very much an artist!  That is some kind of pretty!
