Everybody needs a good laugh
madcrow:
I figured everyone could use a good laugh. Here are a few points that I made. I am having a problem with the grey flint. I can't run the thinning flakes and the points come out rounded. Most of the black stuff looks like obsidian, but I am not sure. So crack one a cold one and enjoy the show.
Maybe one day I will come up with some that look good enough to put on a necklace.

Look better than the ones I usually see at the tourist traps. ;)

Sometimes i like to pick tourist trap points up and touch them up into a better point

Every one of them would be lethal on the end of an arrow! ;) You have to crawl before you walk!!! Pat

Atleast I have lots of material to practice with. I went in the woods behind the neighbors and came back with 12 pounds og glass bottle and jug bottoms. I'm going back later for the TV screens and an old oval wash tub that will soon be a forge. Hopefully between that and the 65 pounds of rock I have got, I will have a few points good enough to hunt with in 2009.
