D. Tiller:
Thanks Tommy! Cant wait to receive it in the mail. Just about have my first knife ready to go. Took a lot of shaping to get the handle and sheath to match up  right. Blade fits in the all wood sheath with a pressure fit.  This is my first knife in this manner which I tried to base on a northwest design for a utilitarian knife. The next one is going to be a bit different with the hafting and design of the handle and I think I will make the sheath out of leather instead of wood since I'm starting to run out of time.  The handle and sheath on the first one are out of cedar. The handle is old growth cedar and the sheath is second growth. I thought the growth ring difference in the wood would be a cool thing to set off the handle and sheath.  This is fun! Wish I could do it more often.

Hillbilly:
Got my blade finished, gotta haft it up now.

sailordad:
well mt knife is finished, trying to make a sheath now.

i'm finding this to be more challenging than making he knife itself.
gotta figure out how to make the leather fit the knife snuggly yet not to tight and have the proper shape etc etc etc.
well gotta go play with the leather some more now.

Here's my KITH entries:
First is my first stone knife, blade is Kansas chert hafted with elk antler and birch bark sheath.

Second is from big bandsaw steel, hafted with chokecherry burl and a small bolster of abalone sheel, ya can't see the shell in the pictures.
