numb finger tip??

so what exactly is a tab?  what does it look like, how do you use it?  TIA

Mine has a hole in the center the size of my middle finger,you slip it over your middle finger
and the leather lays flat out and covers the first 3 fingers.I don't have a picture. Mine
is also split between the index and middle finger.I shoot index finger over the nock and 2 
under. :)
